Dr. Albert Schweitzer, nobel prize winner, 1958, had earned doctorates in theology (he was head of theological school at Strasburg University when only 27 years of age); philosophy; medicine and music. He wrote definitive texts on the music of Bach; on The Quest of the Historical Jesus; the building of organs; philosophy of Reverence for Life; and many more. He left a distinguished career in Europe to become a medical doctor and in the 1920's went to Gabon, Africa to open a medical clinic to serve mankind. Became one of the most famous men in the world during the 1st half of the 20th century.

I think the all time world record is held by Ashok Prasad (Ashoka Jahnavi Prasad) who holds six earned PhD's all from top Universities in the world in addition to other qualifications like LL M in Law from Harvard and a variety of medical specialisations.
