Dizzy Gillespie. He is amazing! :) Louis Armstrong as well. Both are outstanding Trumpet players that EVERYONE should know :p
Also...Miles Davis, Wynton Maralis, Dizzy Gillespie, Clifford Brown, Lee Moran & Clark Terry to name a few more. :)
For currently living jazz trumpet musicians I would vote for:
There is no "best" trumpet, just like there is no best car or best pair of shoes, etc. The best depends on any given players needs and opinions.
Yes, the trumpet 1 part is normally harder than trumpet 2 or 3 and normally the best player or players play on the first trumpet part.
Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis are deceased trumpet players.
I'm a trumpet player and I'm not rude but many of my fellow players are.

A concert F on a trumpet is the G note. Since a trumpet is pitched in Bb, trumpet players will always play one note above the concert pitch. Along with that trumpet players will always play in a different key from the concert pitch. Trumpet players will add two sharps to the concert pitch. i.e. If the concert pitch is Eb, 3 flats, then trumpet players will play in the key of F, 1 flat. trumpetman52
none
people who play the trumpet are caled trumpeters.
there are many famous trumpet players, but here are two that i can name off my head Lous Armstrong Meynard Ferguson
When you write a ratio you have to pay attention to what it says in the question. If it said..... The fraction of trumpet players in the band is 7/15. the rest are clarinet players. What is the ratio of claranet players to trumpet players? you would have to look at the words. it said.... claronet to trumpet players....... so if there are 7 out of 15 how many are left? the ratio is 8/7.
The trumpet doesn't, it just tunes and amplifies the buzzing sound produced by the players lips.
