∙ 10y agoThe Muslim terrorist organization al-Qaeda. The people executing the attack were mostly Saudi Arabian and Egyptian. Since these countries were supposed to be friendly to the US, president George W. Bush retaliated by attacking Afghanistan which had sheltered al-Qaeda, but also by attacking Iraq that had nothing to do with 9/11, al-Quaeda or the terrorists carrying out the attacks.
