If we are talking about overall best bass fisherman ever there is really only a debate between two guys. Its either Kevin Vandam or Roland Martin. Kevin Vandam has now won 6 bassmaster angler of the year titles and 3 bassmaster classics. He has also won an FlW angler of the year and has 98 top ten finishes and 19 wins as a professional angler. Roland Martin has 9 bassmaster angler on the year titles but no bassmaster classics. like vandam he has nearly a 100 top ten appearances and 19 wins. The reason rick clunn can not be considered as the best angler ever is because he only won 1 angler of the year title, he did win 4 bassmaster classics though and he has finished in the top ten 119 times and won 17 tournaments. To win angler of the year you have to fish every tournament well in different locations and different times of the year. Rick Clunn was a very good fisherman but was not the complete angler like roland martin and Kevin vandam.

∙ 13y agoI don't think there is a world's best bass player. Mick Karn's really good and so are the ones in Black Sabbath and The Beatles and bands like that. I play bass in a band. Three of us are 12 and one is 13.
