Apple Computers, now known as macs, were created by Apple, inc. (Pre-2007 Apple Computer co.). Steve Jobs was one of Apple's founders. That means he helped start the company. Steve Jobs died on October 5th 2011 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, aged 56. Apple used to make only computers. They started calling them Apple, then Apple ][, and Apple][c. Then they started calling them Macintosh, like the apple fruit. People who bought them and the advertisers called them Mac computers. From that Apple named their notebook or laptop computer MacBook.

April 1st, 1976 Apple released the Apple I (and started Apple computers). They were hand built by Steve Wozniak and first shown in California to Homebrew computer club, so I presume they were built there.

Apple computers was started by Steve Jobbs (I think I spelled that right) who was originally a partner of Bill Gates when they were in university. Sometime in the 70's or very early 80's they had a falling out and Steve started Apple computers while Bill... well everyone knows what he's done. Steve, however, made a huge miistake somoe years ago and sold his interest in Apple Computers.
