There were three men along with Paul Revere; William Dawes, Samuel Prescott
The person in the tower was Robert John Nuemon in the Old North Church.
Improved Answer: Paul Revere was the only one who got caught by the british patrol. Dr. Samuel Prescott was picked up on his way back from "Courting his lady fair" Aka a date. Rode with Paul from Boston. when Revere was caught by british patrol Dr. Samuel Prescott jumped into the forest and told concord to hide theyre powder, shot, and cannons. Dawes being the big burly guy that he was, fell into the brush trying to copy Prescott. Cheswell rode north to New Hampshire. The Northern people came down and joined the fight as the British were heading back to Boston and continued helping during the Battle of Bunker (Reeds) Hill.
No one. Dawes and Prescott show up as he is arrested. The fable of Revere comes from a Longfellow poem written in 1861 and in reality he didn't ride through the night yelling about the British coming. Longfellow wrote his poem on the eve of the civil war to remind people of the nation's history. Somehow the poem became part of history and was put into history books as fact. Revere never finished the ride, his horse was taken away and he was held by a British patrol, but thanks to Longfellow we all know who he is. He billed Congress for the ride and the cost of the horse since it was taken from him and it didn't belong to him. It was borrowed from Rev. John Larkin and was named Brown Beauty. Larkin refers to it in his will. His one big contribution was the picture on a flier after the Boston Massacre showing colonist getting shot by the British. This was pure Propaganda and was used to incite discontent between the colonist and the British troops.
There were several who went on their own to sound the alarm, but William Dawes and Samuel Prescott were two of the Sons of Liberty who rode with Paul Revere to sound the alarm of the British invasion.
The other two mand that rode with Paul Revere was Will Dawes and Samuel Prescott, but only Prescott made it to Concord. Revere and Dawes were arrested, so Prescott continued the ride to Concord alone, but he made it.

Paul Revere did know how to ride a horse. That's why it's called the Midnight Ride. He rode through the town proclaiming, "The Redcoats are coming!"
Revere rode from Boston, Mass to go to Lexington and Concord. He never finished the ride. Out side of Lexington he was arrested and his horse taken from him. Dawes and Prescott finished the ride. We only know about him because Longfellow in his poem wrote about the "midnight ride of Paul Revere."

Samuel Prescott rode on the midnight ride, to warn the Patriots of the oncoming British, on orders to disarm the Patriots and capture some leaders of the Sons of Liberty, thus starting the Battle of Lexington and Concord. He rode with Paul Revere, and after Paul Revere was captured on his way to Concord, Samuel Prescott went on the warn Concord himself. He was one of the many horsemen on the Midnight Ride.
Paul Revere was the subject of a poem that went "Listen my children and you shall hear of the midnight ride of Paul Revere." Revere rode his horse among the American homes to warn them that the British were coming. It had been agreed that he would advise, "one if by land, two if by sea." He was very effective in warning that the British were coming.
William Dawes rode with him on the night he went to warn Lexington and Concord that the British where coming.
He is famous for the midnight ride poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to warn the colonists the british were coming. Others also rode that night but Revere gets th most credit. Actually a fellow named Israel Bissel rode further than any of the others but most have never heard of him.

They rode to alert the colonists of the arrival of British troops.
