Two male lions would still have difficulties with a grizzly bear because the grizzly bear is too large and strong in its claws when it could produce a swipe enough to kill one lion. A grizzly bear with good defense and a large size would have a high chance of winning two lions. Its stronger swipes with sharper claws and more weight would either kill or drive off those two helpless lions. However, a grizzly bear is strong enough to bring down a cape buffalo, while there would be at least 6 lions or lionesses to bring down one. If two lions fought a strong, healthy grizzly bear, the grizzly bear would kill them.

Fighting bulls are bred to fight, and will actually do ANYTHING it can in its will-power to kill that thing that is in its line of fire, be it man, bear, dog, wolf, etc. A bear may have a chance to win, but it would get seriously hurt by those sharp horns. However a bull may also have a chance to win because of its highly aggressive nature towards anything that moves (with the exception of other bovines) and ability to keep on coming, even if the bear wounds it with its claws and teeth.

∙ 12y agoThe lion for sure would defeat the black bear with ease. Lions weigh 500 pounds, while black bears weigh 400 pounds, and a lion is quite stronger than a black bear. With sharper claws and thicker paws, the lion would strike the black bear to death. Also, lions have better body resistance.
