2) cold deserts
in general, any piece of land which does not receive rainfall over a long period of time is called a desert.
the Sahara is the largest desert in world and is located to the north of Africa and extends to some parts of Asia.
a cold desert is a place where the temperature is too low for ice to melt and form water. the best example of a cold desert is the continent of Antarctica
