Why do American cars have worse handling characteristics then cars in the EuropeanJapanese market?

the suspension set up and engine torque is completely different on big engined American vehicles to those smaller but more lower down powered Europe vehicles

AlsoAmerica has long, straight highways. Europe and Japan have more twisting roads, so European & Japanese cars are set up to cope with their respective road conditions, and American cars with theirs.
