Its normal. I sometimes sound like I have a Chinese accent because I happen to pick it up from some places. I used to have a temporary British accent because I spent quite a bit of time at my friend's house, whose mother is British. You know how british people when they ask questions the tone is different? (I can't put it into better words, sorry.) I do that. Anyway, sometimes you pick it up from people, and sometimes you just, well, do it.
Hope this helped~
It is possible that you have been influenced by exposure to British accents in media or from other English speakers you have encountered. People can subconsciously pick up accents and mannerisms from their surroundings, leading to variations in speech patterns even within the same family.
Everyone has an accent, including Americans. The perception that Americans do not have an accent is because American English is often considered the standard or "neutral" accent in certain contexts. Different regions within the United States, however, have various accents and dialects.
People speak British English primarily in the United Kingdom, which includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Additionally, British English is also spoken in many other countries that were once part of the British Empire, such as Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
English is used as a second language in Nigeria due to its history as a British colony. The British introduced English during colonization, and it became the official language of administration, education, and communication. This has continued to be the case since Nigeria gained independence, leading to English being widely spoken and taught in the country.
Usually they dont bother to translate it, pangasinenses usually just say the happy birthday in their accent. For example: "Hapi bertdi!" But if you really want the translation, it would "Maligayan Kaarawan ed sikayo" (Happy birthday to you) or Bali balin Kaarawan ed sika..Hope this helps..^_^
I prefer to have an open and honest dialog with my coworkers to ensure effective communication.
