AnswerPaleoanthropologists believe that religious beliefs began around 30,000 years ago. It probably began separately in different areas in the form of animism and evolved independently in different areas, through shamanism to the various formal religions we know today. Different civilisations developed religions that suited their culture and geography. Early religions were often focussed on sky gods - the moon god, sun god, god of thunder, and so on. In many cases, the importance of farming gradually led to a dominance by gods of the earth.

All religions are based on belief in some supernatural being whose presence can not be proven, and most religions hope for divine intervention in world affairs, when no such intervention has ever been objectively demonstrated. Many religions also promise a reward after death, but such rewards are demonstrably improbable.

The development of numerous, widely varying religions was limited by military conquest. The victors tended to impose their religious beliefs on the conquered peoples, whose former religion tended to die away. The ultimate driver of this development of this in the West was the Roman Empire, which at first spread its pagan religion throughout the Mediterranean and Europe, then adopted Christianity and enforced this new religion throughout its domain. Areas outside the Roman Empire continued with the old beliefs.

AnswerBecause with religious leadership come perks and power. Therefore if a person with religious leadership aspirations can't find room at the top where he would like to be, the only choice open is to create another pile to stand on top of. There is room and money enough for a hell of a lot of religions and their leaders. Just turn your TV on on Sunday morning. AnswerThis a question that I have always contemplated as a youth, now much older and more exposed to the world of spirituality and religion. It is therefore my firm belief that, "Religion" is a learned process , instituted by man and controlled by their laws. Also man's misinterpretations of The Bible is another main contributor. Added to all that are man's ego ,with the reasoning , that my religion is better than yours. Then that is the reasons for the different denominations. While on the other hand"Spirituality" is an innate process, from within.

Answer 2:

There are only 2 basic concepts in religions around the world.:

#1-I am able to earn my way (do good things, etc.) on my own to come to a type "heaven," which could be called Nirvana or Peace or afterlife.

#2-There is no way I can do what it takes to get to heaven. No matter what I do, I will never be good enough or will have earned enough by doing good deeds to deserve heaven. I need a savior. Christianity is the only "religion" that follows this idea. Jesus being the Savior.

It does not make sense that all of the world's religions came from the same Creator, because they contradict each other. If you say one is true, then the other, which is opposite, cannot also be true.

There are different religions because people did not agree with what they were being taught either as a child or adult and created their own religion which then spreads.

Sometimes these people make up excuses or come up with fake evidence to try and prove their religion is the correct one to collect more followers. Hope this helps! :)

God created Judaism, Messianic Judaism, and Christianity. People invented some religions and some religions seem to be from the devil.
