Why do you think the terrorist chose the world trade center and pentagon?

They were striking at symbols of American business, government, military power. It is thought that the plane that went down in Pennsylvania when the passengers resisted the hijackers was intended to strike the White House or Congress
On 9/11, terrorists from the group Al Qaeda attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in airplanes. They did so to defeat America's financial and defense systems. The World Trade center was a huge factor in our country's monetary systems, and so the terrorists crashed airplanes into it in hopes of driving us into yet another period of depression. Also, the Pentagon was a main target because of its importance in the USA.'s armed forces. It is the main hub of the country's defense and military personel. Destroying it would cause us to become vulnerable against attack or war.
Middle eastern countries weren't happy that the republicans were taking their oil so they took down the twin towers. Also the republicans were aware of it. It obvious since they weren't even near New York or the White House and where ever the planes were suppose to land.
