Yahoo Answers has a problem with bad cache files. So your first step would be to clear all your cache files and restart your computer. If that does not help, you may need to report a BUG on Yahoo Answers. Since the last update, they have had some issues. You can get to the Suggestion Board to post the bug by clicking on the ABOUT tab over the green bar there. If you can't get through with Safari, you may need to temporarily switch to another browser.

Make sure wifi is working and, if the facebook app isn't on the iPod, get it from the App Store. Alternatively use Safari to visit the Facebook web pages (with wifi working, obviously).
