Why does the radio panel disply on your 1999 Mountaineer not work for months at a time then suddenly work for 20-30 minutes?

I heard it has something to do with the circut board in the radio, their are people on the internet that ays they can fix it. I havet sent mine to them yet but mine does the same thing

I called and got a replacement board the guy that has the boards. Used his exchange program and have not had any trouble since. AnswerI had the same problem, take the radio out and raise the resistors in the power supply to keep them cool, still going strong for 6 months.Wiki User
