Listen I'm a girl. Sometimes we all just need our moments. Voicemails can be a solution. Tell her that you feel the need to talk every once and a while. Don't yell or assert yourself. Say it calmly. She'll understand for sure. If not, then you two aren't a good pair. In my opinion of course. You'll be a great guy to tell her that.
