With my years of using freezers...the amber light goes off when temperature is at the required level. Test it by opening freezer, allow cold air to escape, close door and amber light should come on. When its at correct temperature it will go off...good luck

depends on what the light is for? engine light? amber means its not serious but i would get it seen to straight away. the stop light means its serious
