Religion is a way of living and Hinduism is one of the oldest religion which has absorbed different qualities and added to its existing way over long time. Basically Hindusim has reshaped itself with each incarnation of God in the human form e.g. Ram , krishn, Buddha etc. Just like Christianity was established by Jesus and since then has been reinvented into various branches such as Catholic and Protestant etc; Hinduism has enriched itself over and over again with each incarnation of God over very very long period of time. Also, Hinduism believe that god is omnipresent so we should respect all forms of life. Idol worship is practised to established the concentration for formless God. There is really a lot more to this.. i wish i had time.

Causes for confusion:

1. We believe that we are created to be super specialists.

Hinduism believes that we are created to be equally skilled in all activities of life.

2. We believe that our brain and/ or god controls our life.

Hinduism believes that our skeletal muscular system controls our life. It, therefore, lays great emphasis on meditation in which the tone of skeletal muscles are manipulated.

3. We believe that materialistic life is the only kind of life we can have. Hinduism believes that there are many kinds of life.

4. We believe that Hinduism has a code of conduct that enables us to lead a life based on Dharma

Hinduism believes that that best way of controlling life would be through the forces that facilitate or retard what we are doing. Thus, it has no code of conduct.

5. We believe that we are at the mercy of fate.

Hinduism, enables us to absorb shocks of any magnitude and thus doesn't all fate to play in role in a Hindu's life.

6. By Hinduism we mean just Hindu beliefs.

Hinduism believes it is nothing but the absolute facts of life.

The modes of life:

Mode is determined by the relationship among our Positive attitude (the maximum suffering we can tolerate), Negative attitude (the maximum achievement we can tolerate) and our 'I'.

1. When Positive attitude, Negative attitude and 'I' become one and the same we would be in Instinctive/ Brahman mode/ Krita Yuga

2. When 'I' is between our Positive and Negative attitudes we would be in Natural/ Kshatriya mode/ Treta Yuga

3. When 'I' lies out side the attitudes but at a constant distance from them i.e. when our sufferings are stable we would be in Virtual/ Vaishya mode/ Dwapara Yuga

4. When 'I' is at variable distance from our attitudes i.e. when our suffering varies continuously we would be Ad hoc/ Shudra mode/ Kali Yuga.

Hindu sages wrote about life in the four Yugas by having the four modes and not through Kalagnana as is popularly believed.

The Instinctive/ Brahman mode and Ad hoc/ Shudra modes are contradictory. In the former we would be living under ideal conditions, we would be using Involuntary force and time would be eternal.

In the Ad hoc/ Shudra mode we would be living under chaotic conditions, we would be using Voluntary force and time would be transient.

In the Natural/ Kshatriya mode we would be living under tolerable conditions, we would be using Semi voluntary force and time would appear to be cyclical.

In the Virtual/ Vaishya mode our difficulties would be beyond our control but stable.

The Invisible changes in a Hindu:

The modes can be changed as often as we wish, Varnas with great difficulty and caste not at all.

The continuous changes of mode in a Hindu makes an outsider to believe that Hindus lead a wanton life.

Since the type of time used in the four modes is different it is impossible to say when Hinduism started. Since modes keep changing we can't say what Hinduism actually is.

The Hindu gods:

There are seven basic Hindu gods.

They are,

1. Indra

2. Shakti

3. Brahma

4. Vishnu

5. Shiva

6. Shani

7. Yama

The supreme god Brahman makes thoughts and actions one and the same. It is for this reason that Hindus believe that a man who has attained Moksha can make changes in the real world with his mere thoughts.

Vishnu favors both thoughts and actions. Gods towards Yama favor action, Yama being the god of compulsion.

Gods towards Indra favor thinking, Indra being the god of dreaming. Thus Yama and Indra are absolutely contradictory.

Hinduism and Atheism:

At one end, Hindus attain Moksha. At the other they become atheistic. The transition is smooth, making it impossible to distinguish between Hinduism and Atheism. This once again adds to the confusion about Hinduism.

Understanding Hinduism:

The one and only way of understanding Hinduism is through Original Meditation. In this the tone (Isometric contraction) of the skeletal muscular system is manipulated systematically enabling us to have and understand all the modes and all the Hindu gods.

Well, Hinduism was not born out of the thoughts of one particular philosopher or at one particular time. It is an accumulation of the knowledge and experience of seers from ancient time. Also as it does not impose the supremacy of one specific postulation hence many complementary at times totally different concepts exist because of this openness. This advantage makes it sophisticated.

Hinduism has one main teaching that is to accept others and have tolerance towards them. Thus when India was concurred many times by people of different religion, through long term of contacts it began to accept cultures of other religions as well.

It may get confusing because their are four collections of writing and their is a Caste System. There is also no god so you might ask who do they pray for.
