This is a complex question. When viewed in a strictly black or white context, I feel that women should NOT submit to men. Submissive behavior often leads to a buildup of resentment when your needs and wants are not met. This clearly can lead to dysfunction in any relationship. However, it is also healthy, on occasion, to acquiesce to a partner, friend, parent, or even child in order to keep this person feeling as though their needs and wants are being met. I think that the key to this question is in finding a balance where both partners can be as content as possible, although perfect balance is probably a pipe dream. It is important in my view to ensure that when you are choosing to submit, you are the one making the decision and that you are comfortable living with the consequences of this decision.
