You have so much more to live for! You can't give up on life. Be strong.
In my experience, yes they do -- clearly. Sometimes, the pain caused is intentional; other times in spite of the survivors. I'd say that most suicides are very clear about who will be hurt in the aftermath.Another Answer:I would say yes also. But the vast majority have pain worse than the pain they feel for hurting others. Suicide is about them and how they feel and it's not that they don't care that they hurt people, it's that they have such strong emotions going on in their heads.
Sometimes people do not think rationally, they are only thinking about themselves and the pain they have or want to cause others. Some just simply don't value life for whatever reason. Others feel like its the only way out before they become a burden on others. The point is, there are several reasons but that doesnt make it an OK solution. I think for everyone that wants to kill themselves, perhaps there is another person out there who could convince them not to. Anyone who feels like they want to commit suicide should seek help via loved ones and/or counseling.
Yes a person can be committed to a mental hospital involuntarily in the state of Iowa. The court must find that the person poses a emotional and physical threat to themselves or others.
If they attempt it and dont actually do it they might just be seeking attention or they are just afraid to either way get them help immediately Answer also: Although the reasons why people commit suicide vary, certain events in life commonly trigger suicide. It is not uncommon for young ones to give in to despair and commit suicide to do so even over matters that seem trivial to others. When they feel hurt and cannot do anything about it, youths may view their own death as a means of getting back at the person who hurt them. A recent survey in Britain indicated that when children are subjected to severe bullying, they are nearly seven times as likely to attempt suicide. The emotional pain that these children suffer are real. Others may try to take their life when they get into trouble at school or with the law, suffer the end of a romance, get a bad report card, experience stress over exams, or become weighed down by worries about the future. Among high-achieving adolescents who may tend to be perfectionists, a setback or a failure-be it actual or imaginary-may bring on a suicide attempt. Loneliness is one of the factors that lead people to depression and suicide. (see 10/22/01 Awake magazine on Jehovah's Witnesses official website very informative and helpful article)
If you mean in terms of occupations, probably members of the armed forces, police officers, and perhaps truck drivers. Truck driving is a field where a number of military vets get involved because war made them more isolated from others. Driving a truck is mostly a solitary job, and it allows someone to feel in control while they are on the road. Of course, living situations and disabilities are also a factor. Those estranged from their families are more likely to consider suicide than those in loving relationships. LGBT persons are more likely to commit suicide than heterosexuals. Divorced people are more likely to commit suicide than single people and happily married couples. Those who become disabled later in life may be more likely to commit suicide than either those disabled very early in life (excluding certain mental conditions) and those who suffer no disabilities. IQ can be a factor to a point. Those who are right below the normal range are probably more likely to commit suicide than those in the normal range and those who are profoundly mentally challenged. Things are perhaps the hardest on those who have cognitive disabilities and are fully aware they have them.
The only Roman emperor to commit suicide was Nero. All the others either died of natural causes or were murdered. Whoops! I forgot about Otho. He committed suicide to prevent a widening civil war, even though he was only emperor for a brief time during the "year of the four emperors" after Nero's death.

Depending on the severity and type of attempted suicide, the EMT's may be able to save the person. Sometimes a person will attempt to commit suicide, and then change his or her mind in the act. There are others who never actually intended to commit suicide, but were just acting out for attention.
Very rarely do they ever feel guilty over bullying to commit suicide. Usually, the worst of the bullies never feel that level of remorse. They feel they were justified or that they were helping to further evolution. But then again, sometimes bullies are victims of abuse or bullying too, or they may have other problems such as substance abuse, so they might commit suicide. Bullying might be like a pain reliever for them, though not an effective one, so maybe it is possible to bully others and then also commit suicide.
No. You should have your own mind and not blindly follow what others tell you to do. Suicide is never a rational choice.
I think that someone who has the mental ability to commit suicide has major depression...... and no support. As for a slang word for commiting suicide I would use a few words.... Vaunrable, Fragile, Powerless... I'm sure that the way I think about this subject is very different from others, I have never had anyone that was very close to me commit suicide....
Some do cry because the pain is so great, or they feel for themselves or their foolishness. But crying is not enough of a release for them, so they continue on to commit suicide. Others cry because they know the heartbreak they are causing, they know who and what they are leaving behind, and they are scared of what is on the other side. But all this knowledge doesn't keep them from committing suicide. The pain is just too great. Others commit suicide because they cannot or will not cry. They seen crying as weakness and suicide as a more honorable way out. They have denied themselves all possible release of their emotions.
This is a myth because most people who decide to commit suicide, will show signs of it. They could do things like giving away their stuff, talking about death, withdrawing from friends and family, and showing reckless behavior.
His entire family had a 'habit' of suicide. His grandfather, among others of his family committed suicide.
Seneca had been the tutor of the young Nero for many years. After Seneca's retirement from this duty, Nero had become almost paranoid about plots against his life. As it was in the days of ancient Rome, suicide was an acceptable way to avoid harsh punishments. Sadly Seneca, who as far as can be told had no part of any plot against his former student was forced ny Nero to kill himself.
It depends on the policy. Many do not pay for a suicide death, others require that the policy have been active for a specific length of time. It's not a good way to get money. Nope.
Rose Mary was her name. And she committed suicide because she couldn't handle living with the memories she had and not being able to tell the truth to others.
