Terrible design of internal parts and terrible componet quality. it has a lot to do with heat issues. Pretty much man Microsoft used low quality parts to save money and it backfired. Your 360 will probably Break down soon if a lot of your games are freeing. for more info on this i suggest you go to Google.com and type in Red Ring of Death. You'll learn a lot about the bad design and bad parts that go into the 360. The system has great software and terrible hardware. If this helps in anyway if you keep getting RROD take your hardrive out. My friend kept getting RROD i thought his 360 was done for. i went over took the hardrive out and it worked fine.

It depends on how many rings you have. 1-3 rings the cord that connects to the t.v. May not be fully plugged in on the xbox. If there is 4 rings your best bet is to send it back to get it fixed before you break it even more.

If you have a problem with your 360 you can send it to Microsoft or fix it yourself if its the rrod [red ring of death] let it cool, if its 1 red light that means hardware faliure, if its 2 red lights you need to cool it if its 3 red lights general hardware faliure and if its 4 red lights it means av cable isn't connected properly if none of those ideas work send it to MICROSOFT.

There are really not many problems with the xbox and its GUI Its all good and secure. And Microsoft Releases many updates for the console.

It's either your xbox discs, that they are scrathed/dirty, or you need to clean your xbox laser
