my 1995 Buick regal is starting to do it too but mainly when going uphill or accelerating hope someone answeers soon
AnswerI am not sure if this is the same problem, but my 95 regal had what I would call a "surging" or stuttering problem...This was supposedly caused by a spark plug wire shorting out at the boot thus causing a missfire... AnswerMy 1995 Buick Regal was doing this. Mine was a transmission problem. I didn't need a whole new transmission, but I did need to replace the lines because they were leaking fluid. You should definitely get it checked out. AnswerJust had my 2002 into a Transmission shop. The brake switch needed adjusting. I had no check engine light. You might want to get the brake switch checked.Check the map sensor. Mine was doing that, and after having trans check and several parts replaced on it, it ended up being the map sensor
Exhaust manifold gasket leaking
The transmission is not shifting in and out of gear or your front joint is going bad
Buick makes a clunking sound from trans area when accelerating.
you should not be driving
Out of gas
Not running on all cylinders? Check spark plugs and wires Do a compression test to see if one cylinder is dead
In 1987 Buick and ASC McLaren got together and developed an experimental version of the turbochargers Grand National supercar, and built only 547. Today they are highly prized by muscle car collectors, and in their day were the fastest accelerating production cars.
No.
Could be in need of a tune up. If the "check engine" light is or has illuminated, have it scanned for codes first. The codes will help lead you to the problem.
with tools, elbow grease, and an entire weekend.
On a 1994 Buick LaSabre why does the engine continue to rev up while driving even when the brake is applied ? or when driving why doesn't the engine return to idle when the brake is applied? I would check for a vacuum leak
Happened to me .. it was the crank sensor. Pretty inexpensive to fix
