It could also possibly be the noise known as 'Pinking'!
Pinking is the result of the fuel in the cylinder being ignited at the wrong time in the engine cycle and the expansion of the gasses created working against the piston during it's travel - producing a sort of noise that is similar to marbles being shaken in a baked bean can.
Pinking is can be caused by the ignition timing being out of sync with the engine, the air / fuel ratio being incorrect, wrong type of spark plugs, the engine compression ratio is too high for the type of fuel being used or the wrong type of fuel being used.
Check the ignition timing using the appropriate equipment (strobe light) and / or use a compression tester to confirm the pressure in the cylinders as to the manufacturers specifications.
Check the other possible causes as above but If there doesn't seem to be a suitable candidate for the problem after the above checks you might check the engine for carbonisation (too much carbon build-up inside the engine) and de-coke as necessary.
A car that is in good running condition should not make a clunking noise. If a person pushes the gas and brake pedal at the same time causing a car to make a clunking noise, that is an indication of stain on the motor.
because of you
could be a vacum leak in the engines intake or just road noise from the tires you cant hear when you step on the gas.
Check heat shield on catalytic converter
no suv's do not make more noise than a car
your starter probably.
your Imagination.... :)
Your Axle
Check the fluid in the power steering. If it is low the car will make noise when you turn the wheel.
your cv boot has torn and needs replacement
yes but why would you leave it loose?
