You should begin with a course for your reading and spelling that will help you begin your journey for the career path you chose as well if you don't have your highschool diploma you will need to obtain that first before going on to college. Make sure that you take the credits that will be needed to pursue the course you want as there are some that are mandatory meaning some you must have. There are times that they need volunteers at a zoo and that is definitely a start and foot in the door or even just a regular labour job such as maintenance and such but in the zoo but in order to do the things you want to do you will have to wait until your finished schooling. You would have to check with your local facility that you would choose to take your course through as they may be able to offer some courses that you could do at home but chances are you will have to attend an institution of learning for a majority of it if not all. Good Luck - it will take time but you can do it if you want it bad enough!!

As far as I know, you would start with a BS from a university either with a degree in zoology, or as I did biology with emphasis in zoology. Then you could go on to study further and get a masters or even doctorate in zoology. I don't believe there is anything like a zoology license, you just need to get educated and get a degree in the field of zoology. You would probably also want to get some work experience or volunteer working with a zoologist. You may want to contact someone who works at a wildlife park or zoo and find out what their education is. You could also look at any well known university's catalog and find out what degrees they offer.
