Your 2000 BMW 740il alarm recently started to go off after you would get out of the car and lock the car up for the evening What could be causing this and how do you fix it?

by taking the vehicle to BMW dealer, they can read what set off your alarm, indicating what sensor is faulty, if any. however its very common for hood switches to fail, they are cheap and easy to replace.. just remove and replace and see what happens,
