In order for any engine to fire up you need, fuel which you have already taken care of. A spark, so check your spark plugs and the cable leads to the distributor. YOu need oxygen as well so check your hoses and make sure they arent leaking or ripped. Make sure your starter is operating properly, along with the silenoid. Last and most tedious check your battery terminals and all connections to the parts mentioned above. With out any one of these operating correctly most vehicles will not start.
