I'd start with the crankshaft position sensor cheap fix (50-60) bucks & easy to install if that doesn't work come back and update i hope this helps
its not your ignition its your crankshaft sensor that's the same problem i had.
no
its ur mass air flow sensor
crankshaft sensor
Will it start after setting awhile? Check the crank shaft sensor.
This could be an indication of a failing crank sensor. GM has issued a recall for this and you shoudl be able to find out more information from any cadillac or GM dealer.
Start checking out your engine and transmission mounts. Check the rubber to make sure it isn't torn.
The crank sensor had to be replaced on my 98 Catera when it was doing the same thing. I had to take it to the dealer to have this done.
Clean your battery terminals.
I have the same problem. Either low pressure on fuel pupm or one of the injectors is leaking overnight. Im sure once you get it started it always starts
Mine does but i think it is electronic controlled for one starts to spin the other wheel will start working for more traction. i done a burnout that's how i figured
2000 catera sometimes wont start & you have to work the remote to get it to start ? Mybe it has something too do wiht the security system?????
