This could be an indication of a failing crank sensor. GM has issued a recall for this and you shoudl be able to find out more information from any Cadillac or GM dealer.

You can find several relay switches on your 1990 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Most relay switches will be in the fuse box. The relay switches will be in the third column of the fuse box.

No noise when you try to start the vehicle usually indicates a dead battery, or a loose or disconnected cable/wire at the starter, solenoid (starter relay switch), or ignition switch.

The oil pressure switch is right below the crank shaft pulley. It has two wires connected to the bottom end of it.
its not your ignition its your crankshaft sensor that's the same problem i had.
If you can't find the ignition switch then it appears that you may either be too drunk or too stupid to be behind a steering wheel. You're joking, right?
The switch is located on the foot brake arm. They are difficult to change and I broke mine when putting the new one in. This switch is also the cruise control switch. The switch is adjustable and may only need a few turns of the adjusting nut.
Check fluid level in the resovior tank. If fluid level is OK, check the level switch. The level switch controls the dash light. If fluid id OK, and you dont want to replace the switch...unplug it.
