You will probably have to pay impound fees usually at a daily rate. You may also have to pay the loan company processing fees. If you made the back payment by the agreed upon due date you should be able to pressure them to drop the processing fees. Your state statutes regarding repossession may also impact the money you will have to pay. Some loan companies will also have non-monetary requirements for release of the vehicle (i.e. Proof of insurance, additional references, etc.) Best bet is to call the company to find out the conditions of release.
