For the purposes of UK Immigration law, domestic partnerships formed in California, Nevada, Oregon and Wisconsin are legally recognized as UK civil partnerships. If one partner is a British citizen, then the other may be eligible for a work visa. If neither partner is a British citizen, then their application will be processed as a family application and the case decided upon the merits, in accordance to applicable law.
