you can manually do that....like mine did that, and what u do is keep switching one on and shut the door and open to see which one it is, because one of those switches manually works the interior light coming on vs staying off when the door is open...you just have to play around with them to see which one it is and leave it that way...hope this helps...its really true....happened to me...and i have a c220 but one of those switches works that.
try the interior light switches on the doors
Check switches on doors for proper operation. they are usually adjustable.
The doors will have switches that control them, the light switch also has control. Depending on the year, the pull knob turns to control dash light intensity and interior lighting. On newer models there is a dial under the switch that does the controling of these lights, on some models there is a button next to the switch that is an override button to stop the lights from going on when the doors open. Let me know if you need more help as I will try my best.
Check all the door and light switches, they are turned on by twisting the light switch to the left, also the pin switches on the doors will activate the cabin lights.
check fuses/relays; I'm pretty sure the 190e has one fuse the 2 rear windows
Bad switches? Bad motors? Wiring "opened" due to flexing when doors opened and closed for 10 years
Two possibilities; the dash switch is set to ON that operates the interior lights, or one or more of the switches that detect a door open has failed.
Folding doors
because ford put the door switches in the latch itself. over time the switches dry out and stick. a shot of GOOD penetriating oil should do the trick. spray all of the latches then open and close each door/hatch a few times to work the oil into the mechanisum.
The rear hatch is unlocked with the same switches as the other doors. It is then only opened with the outside handle.
To allow cooling of the Shuttle: The interior side of the two cargo bay doors are covered with radiators. Those radiators are connected to the overall cooling system of the Shuttle. These radiators have to be exposed to space (i.e. the doors have to be opened) to reject their heat and avoid overheating of the Shuttle subsystems. This is why the cargo bay doors are opened as soon as the Shuttle reaches its orbit, and are closed only shortly before re-entry.
if th elights work from the dashboard, it is probably the switches in the doors, all 4 had rusted on my 1992 suburban, once I had replaced them the lights are working like normal
