also check the door switches, they normally look like plungers, and should depress when the door closes, sometimes they dont work and leave the lights on

Answercheck the turn signal/lights switch

check the switch on the dash next to the steering wheel make shure its not all the way up i have made the same mistake

On some newer vehicles the door switches are incorporated into the door latch Assembly, thus omitting the common plunger type switches that we are used to, so then with these new style switches they communicate with the door computer that communicate with the lighting control module causing the interior light to come on and go off, in most cases makes it impossible for the do it yourself mechanic to properly diagnose the actual problem, so if you cant find the plunger style switch on your car the best bet is to have the dealer or reputable garage to scan the lighting module or the body control module for a code which will let them know where the problem actually is, hope this helps try pull neg batt cable 1 minute it will reset body control module
