More than likely your Power Steering pump is not working correctly for some reason. It is possible that the belt could be loose. If the belt is making a squealing noise when you turn the steering wheel very hard, the belt is probably loose. if the belt doesn't make noise it is most likely OK and you may have a problem with the power steering pump.
