Did David Bowie sing never met a girl like you before?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It's not a Bowie song or recording (though it admittedly sounds like him. "A Girl like You" was written and recorded by Edwyn Collins in 1994.

Hmmm. Actually, David Bowie wrote this song (apparently with Iggy Pop) and recorded it on his Absolute Beginners LP. The Edwyn Collins version is a cover. He does a great imitation of David Bowie though.

Why are goths called goths?

User Avatar

Asked by Loyal Mayert

Goth pubs can be so called for 2reasons-either they were built in the gothic era, ie. the medieval/middle ages-or more likely these days, because they are supported and frequented by fans of goth (gothic) ie. people usually dressed in all black, who like the 'depressive' style of heavy metal-no offence to all you goths out there,it was the only way i could describe it.

How much time would it take to learn guitar?

User Avatar

Asked by Lisandro Veum

It really depends on how fast you learn and catch on to things and how long you practice and take the guitar lessons. If you really want to learn and get very good and are practicing a lot everyday and learning as much as you can I`m sure you`ll get very good VERY soon. Like maybe 2/3 months. But honestly, there isn't a end to learning it. U can learn MORE and MORE about guitar your whole life. Its just the basics you`ll cover in about 3 months if you try very hard and work at it. I , too , are learning how to play acoustic guitar. I think its a little confusing but I`m sure I`ll catch on :)

What do unchained melody bohemian rhapsody the ballad of john yoko and space oddity have in common?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There are two unrelated answers. One- and this is (jeopardy stuff) the title of the song is not mentioned specifically in the lyrics of the song mentioned ( this is also true of America The Beautiful). the other is all of these songs have dark and somewhat occult and morbid angles- Unchained melody could refer to drowning- (it is the least morbid of the three) John and Yoko has blasphemous language ( was banned for said reasons) and Space Oddity and Bohemian Rhapsody have suicidal themes, the latter coupled with homicide by gun.
