There is a problem with the emissions system. Have the ECU scanned with a OBD2 scan tool. This will tell you the fault code that has been set. With this code you can start to diagnose the problem.

the trans is probably not anny good. i went through 6 of them in my 98 accord before i got a good one. they have major problems from 98 to 01 the best thing to do is get one directly from Honda they offer them really cheap around 1500.00 due to the problem and they come with a 2 year 100000 mile warranty. normally that would be a 2500 trans.
