Bank 1 is the same side as cylinder #1. Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter.
Bank 1 = Right side of the exhaust Sensor 1 = the first 02 in line before cat. Sensor 2 = the last 02 in line after the cat. Bank 2 = Left side of the exhaust Sensor 1 = the first 02 in line before cat. Sensor 2 = the last 02 in line after the cat.
Bank 1 (one) is the side in front of car (Bank 2 is rear, firewall side) 02 sensor 1 is upstream, on exhaust manifold (02 sensor 2 is downstream, by cat. conv.)
Bank one is the side of the engine with cylinder #1. Sensor two is after the catalytic converter.
well bank 2 is passenger side of engine and sensor 2 is second one. 02 sensors on 2005 avanlache have 4 02 sensors 2 pre on bank 1 and 2 and have post on bank 1 and 2
Where is the 02 sensor heater circuit bank 2 sensor 2 located on a 2000 Dodge Durango located it has the 4.7?
Bank 1 is the bank of the engine that contains #1 cylinder. Bank 2 is the other bank. Sensor 1 is located before the catalytic converter. Sensor 2 is located after the cat converter.
before the cat , at the manifold
That is the sensor in the catalytic converter.
That would be the sensor after the catalytic converter.
Bank 2 locates on the opposite side of the cylinder # 1 and the sensor 1 is locates in the front
Bank 2 is the right side of the motor if sitting in the seat and sensor 1 is the first 02 sensor that is in the exhaust manifold.
where is the oxygen sensor location on a 1998 explorer bank 2 sensor
Underneath the gas tank
Driver side, after converter.
Bank 2 is the passenger side of the engine. Bank 1 is the drivers side of the engine. 02 sensor 1 is the sensor that is the closest to the exhaust manifold that bolts to the side of the cylinder head. Sensor 2 is the one that is closer to the exhaust muffler.
You have a bad 02 sensor after the catalytic converter.
The bank without a number onc cylinder in it is bank number 2. Sensor 2 is behind the catalytic converter.
drivers side before the cat conveter.
P0140 code means the rear 02 sensor behind the catalytic convertor has an open circuit. It says no communication from the rear 02 sensor. The rear 02 sensor is also called sensor 2, whether it be bank 1 or bank 2. Hope this helps.
Right side (passenger) front sensor. Sensor 2 is after the CC.
Standing in the front of the engine: Bank 2 is the left head and 02 sensor 1 will be the first and closest sensor in the exhaust pipe were the pipe hooks to the engine.
02 Sensor Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1
Bank 1 sensor 1 is upstream bank 1 sensor 2 is downstream
Bank one is the drivers side of the engine. Sensor 2 will be the second sensor that's screewed into the exhaust pipe away from the engineon that side.
The P0155 refers to the Oxygen sensor on Bank 2, sensor 1. Bank 2 on your vehicle is on the passenger side of the engine. Sensor 1 is the first oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe coming from the engine.
P0139 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
Bank 1 is the bank that sits closest to the front of the vehicle. Bank one is the bank with cylinder # 1. You have 4 oxygen sensors, (bank 1 sensor 1, bank 1 sensor 2, bank 2 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor2). Follow the exhaust from the head of bank 1. The first sensor you come to is sensor 1, the second is sensor 2.
The sensor 2 should be next to the catalytic converter just under the passenger seat. The sensor 1 is in the exhaust manifold.
Bank 2 is pass side. Sensor one is pre cat, sensor two is post cat.
1996 S10 has four 02 Sensors can you tell me where each sensor is and the name of each Banksensor eg Bank 1 Sensor 3 etc?
Bank 1 sensor 1 would be the first sensor on the drivers side exhaust pipe close to the engine. Bank 1 sensor 2 would be the sensor just before the cat converter. Bank 1 sensor 3 would be the sensor just after the cat converter. Bank 2 sensor 1 would be the first sensor on the passenger side exhaust pipe.
There are 2 catalytic converters on a V8 2002 Toyota Tundra. Bank 1 is the manifold and cat on the drivers side and bank 2 is the manifold and cat on the passenger side. Sensor 1 is the sensor on the exhaust manifold before the catalytic converter. Sensor 2 is the sensor located after the cat converter. Bank 2 Sensor 2 is the sensor located after the catalytic coverter on the passenger side.
Bank 1 Sensor 2 is the sensor AFTER the catalytic converter. Causes could be,A faulty O2 sensor, Exhaust leak near the sensor, Damaged catalytic converter, Damaged wiring to O2 sensor,
P0139 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
its on the passenger side rear one.
Bank 2, sensor 1, O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction.
2: 1 (Bank 1 Sensor 1) Upstream of the Catalytic Converter on the rear Exhaust Manifold & 1 (Bank 1 Sensor 2) Downstream of the Catalytic Converter on the Exhaust Pipe.....
It has 2. An upstream or bank 1 sensor 1, and a downstream or bank 1 sensor 2. One on either side of the catalitic converter starting just below the manifold. The one nearest the manifold is bank 1 sensor 1.
bank 1 is both sides of the v 6 bank 2 is on the cat on a 2001 grand caravan bank one just tells you where to look for the upstream 02 putting an 02 on bank two would mess up and confuses the pcm because the pipes are connected front to back they used a map sensor on the intake and a heat sensor instead of mas air flow sensor
Where is the location of 02 Sensor on a 1996 S10 4x4 4.3 liter for example where is Bank 1 Sensor 2 in the Exhaust system?
Bank one is usually the left side of the motor and sensor 2 would be the one past the converter.
A P0138 code show is 02 sensor High voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 This is on a 1996 dodge ram pickup where is this sensor?
That is behind the catalytic converter.
Bank 2 Sensor 1: Located on front exhaust manifold pipe nearest the radiator. Hard to reach without specific tools. Clip located in front of engine compartment.
Try to picture this Bank 1 Sensor 1 Bank 2 Sensor 1 Catalytic Conv. Catalytic Conv. Bank 1 Sensor 2 Bank 2 Sensor 2

Is this bank 2 sensor 1 or sensor 2?
There are 3 oxygen sensors in total for the 96 avalon. Bank 2 sensor 1 is the one on the exhaust headers closest to the radiator. Bank 1 Sensor 1 you cant really see it, it is closest to the cabin. Peer from the drivers side and under the intake manifold and you should see it. Bank 1 and 2 Sensor 2 is under the car right after the cat converter.
02 Sensor, bank 2 no activity.
According to Auto Zone, the sensor 1 bank 1 is before the catalytic converter with 2 and 3 located further downstream and are typically mounted in or after the catalytic converter. (bank 1 identifies the location of cylinder #1, while bank 2 identifies the cylinder on the opposite bank). What i need to know, is where the catalytic converter is on the engine. Hope this helps.
