got same problem on one of my three vettes. no big deal. just needs adjusting after you get hood to open. first try to pull realease lever, if drivers side realeases, go to passenger side and firmly press down without re-locking mechanism and move hood towards drivers side or towards passenger side. need to shim hood latch and/or adjust hook underneath hood on the hood not the chasis. do it over and over til you get right. i know how to do it but never get around to it. good luck! it will work. also oil up all movable parts before closing after you get it open could be possible that the cable housing has pulled through on the left side mounting clamp too. will need to replace cable if this happens. cheap aftermarket cables are notorious for this.
Why is 94 corvette running hot
We are having the same problem on a 2000 Corvette, were you able to figure it out?
a lot of different stuff
I had the exact same problem twice in 3 years. I resolved it BOTH times by disconnecting the NEGATIVE side of the battery for approximately 5 minutes, then re-connecting it. The Corvette Rep told me to do so. It worked. Bad aircon unit, of a bad engine problem Bad aircon unit, or a bad engine problem Bad aircon unit, or a bad engine problem

They are compatible. the only problem you may have is the shifter. If the corvette does not have overdrive on the shifter you won't be able to get the car in first gear.
