No ignition-fire en coil
what could cause my 96 Honda to lose all fire to the coil and fuel pump
Bad coil? Bad Pick-up?
coil, distributor, distributor cap, plugs, or wires.
you might want to check your coil or your plug wire
burn it
I believe the part you're asking about is inside the distributor. It's the semiconductor device that causes the coil to fire.
Spark plug may be bad or coil may have went bad.
it could be your cdi or coil its a 50/50 chance the cdi is located under your left front finder theres two coil is hooked to spark pug hope its coil because cdi new is 125 each
It is either one of your electric parts gone out such as CDI or the coil but my 2002 honda rancher 350 wouldn't fire and I sprayed WD-40 on the electrical connectors and then it started to fire. If you have been in lots of mud this might have been caused. Make sure the switch is off when unplugging the wires (Honda electrical system is very sensitive).
Most Honda distribuitors has inside the ignition coil & pickup devices that produce the energy to fire up the combustion chambers allow the engine to "run" if you have a faulty distribuitor the engine won't start.
