first check for juice. it sounds like your not getting power to the coil. check with a test light. if your not getting power work back to the source proboly a fuse of some sort in the engine compartment

Ok, I have figured it out. The coil is putting off what looks to be a good spark, but It is not strong enough to go through the gap between the cap and rotor to get back to the wires. I replaced it and it works!!
No you were driving and it quit.and if it cranks it is turning over. check for spark at the spark plugs and also for fuel pressure at the injector rail.
Either A:Replace the button-spark module (these ogenerally occur in only one of two basic types) Just get another similar lighter and strip away all the plastic bits until you have the very basic spark-button module. B: Modules often die from two common causes 1.Spring or 2.Electrical connection these things are replaced/fixed in the usual fashion. And if you are REALLY desperate you could try re-winding the coil/brush system having tried all of the above first Brgds/Axel Wiresmith :-)
look for clogged ex.
did you have a hot spark when you tested for spark ? i did you test the fuel pump pressure ? did you cheak for pulse on the coil to see if you were getting a signal ? i have spark, gas, the fuel pump works great and the coil is getting plenty of signal but it still wont start What was the fuel presure reading ?
One reason a 2000 Ford focus won't crank after you ran out of gas is because you need press the reset button for the pump. The button is located in the trunk.
Login with google is not wrikong for me it was wrikong still yesterday . I tried the above solution, its not wrikong I didnt even get the forgot password mail to my gmail plese help
You have a bad starter solenoid or for some reason starter is still not getting enough current-which could be the bat or connections are corroded etc. Check bat voltage and connections (all) to starter.
have you tried chageing the ignition ampifier ?
