Not to seem smart at all but the first thing I would check would be the battery. If you figure out that it is charged well and it stilldoesn't start then you could try checking the connections on the battery posts or the connections on the starter. Unfortunately i am not much help beyond those steps but good luck.
what do you mean by wont start right away? as in it cranks then starts or what? give some more info

Have you checked the battery for loose connections? wait is dis on a game

do you have gas in the tank
Make sure connections are on tight.
The engine needs good battery power, fuel and spark to start and run. You are missing one of those.
No, yj's have leaf springs while tj's have coil springs, they wont match at all
Can be a number of things....but start with crank angle sensor located rear of engine above bell housing asuming it's a 4L six.
Go get a new one... Its ganna cost more to fix then just to get a new one.

If it will shift when the engine is off, but not while it is running your clutch is not working
Could be a loose or corrodedbattery cable.
