It didn't work for me but check for corrosion on the third break light bulbs connections. check fluid level in resevoir. <><><><><><><><><> I had a similar problem. I found a broken connection on the circuit board in the stop and tail light sensor, located on left side rear cargo area.
It is an over charging votlage regulator in the alt. Rare problem.

look up 300zx manual on net it has all specs.
A 1990 300zx headlight is recessed into the bumper. To remove it, first loosen the headlight bracket bolts. Unplug the lights and push the housing outward. Be careful not to ruin the weather stripping for the lights.
The alternator when the engine is on, and the battery when the engine is off.
Check bulbs they are double filamented smaller for brake lights larger for tailights Check the fuse Check the operation of the stoplight switch
Until you say what is wrong, I recommend using a sledge hammer.
More than likely the brake light switch is defective or out of adjustment.

You are low on coolant or the low coolant sensor/wiring/connection is bad.
On the 89- 300zx the mass air flow sensor is located under the panel that is between the head lights. remove the panel and you will find the air filter box. the maf is bolted directly to the filter box
