Son bought used 300e. Called dealer for info on radio code, which he now has . He was told to turn on radio and wait it the radio shows enter access code. We have left the radio on for hours and nothing. So help please!!!!

switch your ignition onto accessory, then switch radio on the word CODE will appear. Enter your code using the push buttons. the code is usually 4 digits long. Radio then should work. If U lost your code, take your drivers license, registration papers or proof of ownership to a Benz dealer & they will look it up 4 U. good luck

You should use Premium. It should say that on the dash by the gas gauge. My 1990 300e does. Hope this helps. I have never had a problem with Regular gas instead of Premium in my 87 300E. As long as you have a good strong spark and clean fuel injectors. I would recommend "Bosch Platinum +2 Spark Plugs" they have twice the spark so you will feel the power increase after you replace your pugs.

Usually if your car is tuned, not pulling or carrying a load, no mountains, not a lot of stop and go traffic, and ac off. try mid grade if you hear pinging with regular, and stick with premium if that does not work.
