FI vehicles generally have a IDLE SPEED MOTOR or IDLE SPEED VALVE etc. ( different names) which controls idle speed. These are subject to carbon build up on the shaft and can stick open causing this problem. Find yours ( ask Ford parts dealer to print out the location)and remove it and soak it in some SEA FOAM marine additive. If that does not work, you will need to replace it. If expensive, consider a salvage yard part to save money.
