I Think it could be the oxigen sensor, air filter,PVC valve, spark plugs, and wiring, check the heat,in the meter,if is normal, fuel pump, belt tension,I would check all this and replace all this parts if you haven't change them, you also have to consider the milage, the motor it self, the rings in the and pistons,is alot in car this eadge.I have the same car that's why I'm saying all this probavilities of a problem in the car, hope you can fix it they are very goo car,Tom
no balls
Must be a wallabee in the carbureator.
It will fit if you cut it but as-is it will not attach to the throttle body. The 1989-1990 240's have the KA24e (single cam) and the 1991-1994 240's have the KA24de (dual cam) the throttle bodies are in different positions.
No, I cannot show a picture.
1974 models does not have throttle positions sensors. 1974 models have a carburetor. Only models with fuel injection have throttle position sensors. Sounds like someone is pulling your leg.
twist throttle and a thumb throttle
You will notice on the throttle handle that there are three positions on the legend. "Really Slow", "Start" and "Slow".
There are lots of homemade individual throttle bodies that come in different designs and styles. Most of the homemade individual throttle bodies are also modified.
No it will not, The intakes are different.
TPS is mounted to the throttle body, and are operated by the rotation of the throttle shaft. Depending on the model year, they have different shapes and sizes. Generally mounted to the throttle body by two fasteners. Some are adjustable and other not. They all have electrical connectors that lead to the ECM.
first. is the throttle valve moving open? you can see it with a light when the choke is open. it's the round disk near the back of the carb in the hole behind the plastic screen. these engines use a plastic lever on top of the carb to activate the throttle. sometimes they slip on the shaft or break off. check to see if when the throttle is moved that it moves the valve.
soundsl Ike the TPS on the throttle body is bad or the MAP sensor is bad. probably tps.
