A 1995 Z28 Camaro Is very diffrent in gear ratio than any other camaro ever built. They have The nicest and fastest engine in production unaltered camaros. They come off the asembly line with 280 horsepower, and 190 foot punds of tourque. They also vary in drive line changes. A 4L60E Transmission is the only transmission that will last in a 1995 camaro, 4 Speed automatic with overdrrve. Nothing else will Last longer than 6 months. I have a 1995 camaro, But mine is altered and has a Z06 Corvette engine, With the 4 speed automatic transmission. A camaro is a great car and a 1995 is even better.

and the wiring harness is different the car i bought had a 94 tranny in it and the shop said that's more than likely what messed it up.

Everything on here is accurate except one thing. The stock '95 z28 isn't pushing 190 ft lbs of torque. It's pumping out 325 ft lbs of torque off of the GM assembly line. This car after modifications can be an all around heart stopper if you have the time, however, the LT1 350 that is in it does not have a lot of production parts that are of the, "bolt on" series. If you are looking to make some serious power gains you are going to have to go internal. As for the transmission it is not the only one that will bolt up to an LT1 but it is a transmission that was built to hold up to 600 horsepower stock and has a few options that you can add to make it hold stronger. So when you look at it unless you are doing an engine swap it's all you really need.
