One solution is to check the dash dimmer switch, it could be the cause if it is rotated all the way up which turns on the interior lights on.
Sounds like normal operations / behavior.
the same thing happens to mine........just turn the interior light switch of......it works
I should be able to answer your question if you say which YEAR of Ford Windstar ( I was looking at the 1996 Ford Windstar owners manual and it doesn't have any warning lights above the engine temperature gauge )
have you check the tail light fuse to see if it is blown. other possiblly is the headlight switch.
( 5W-30 ) is the preferred engine oil , according to the 1996 Ford Windstar Owner Guide
In the center of the dash on the left side is a timer relay. it is probably bad, causing the delay part of the lights to not work.
On a 1996 Ford Windstar : Under the dash on the drivers side , not too far from the inside hood release
i dont know whwere is the tachometer wire of 2001 ford windstar
you do not, they are cornering lights and turn on with the single lights
It sounds as if there is a problem with the rear electronics module in the Ford Windstar. This controls the front and rear lights and it is located in the back in the cubby with the jack.
