It could be your O2 sensors going bad. I had the same problem. you may also want to check the ignition coil
Could be a bad fuel injector on number 1 cylinder.
try checking your 02 sensors
Cylinder 3 misfire is correct.
An engine cylinder misfire has been detected
I had the same problem and went ahead and replaced cylinder 1 coil and all the spark plugs and it worked.
My chilton's manual says # 3 misfire. Good luck.
Think a little deeper. Combustion that fails is a misfire. You have addressed the spark side of it. There is a fuel and compression possible trouble. Try swapping the fuel injector for that cylinder with another and see if the misfire moves to the other cylinder. Compression test the cylinder to see if it is in specs. Try a cylinder leak down test and see if it is losing compression. Perhaps there is a carbon build up on the valves preventing good seating?
It's telling you that you have a problem. Get a code scanner and find out what the problem is. that's a misfire .i had tht problem and i changed the spk plug cable
yes theres problem go service it
Teh service engine light does not mean you need to service the engine. It means that there is a problem. You should have asked the tech that had his hands on the car. Could be a bunch of things from an injector to a spark plug.
These vehicles are known for ECM (computer) problems that cause missfires & other runability problems. Usually if this is a ECM problem the dash works intermittantly (lights, odometer, etc) also. Could also be an injector or another ignition component.
CHANGE YOUR SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES FIRST
A malfunction with the engines emission control system has been detected and requires service / repair . If the light stays on , and the problem doesn't correct itself after using the vehicle a few times , have it checked out . ( As long as the light isn't blinking , which indicates a engine cylinder misfire , and no other warning lights are on , and your engine temperature and oil pressure are O.K. etc. )
