This is often from a dead battery.
Commonly CKP sensor or Starter. What does it do when you try to start it? clicks
Suspect solenoid (on starter) going out, if all you are getting is clicks, and your battery cable junctions are clean and tight.

most likely your battery is dead or you need a new starter.
Likely that your starting motor needs to be reconditioned/re-built
if it does not turn over and no clicking noise but headlights on, check start fuse and relay if it doesnt turn over and clicks probable starter solenoid
Does it turn over? Does it have fuel, spark and compression?
