1998 Chevy Astro van has air slightly coming out the top vent and sides but not through front vents. How can I fix it?

Check vacuum hose that runs from side of manifold to A/C vacuum ball located (on 97 model) on frame under alternator. Line runs from same ball to a/c controls at dash. Hose crimped, disconnected or broken. Common to trap it installing dog house. Tom
