On the upper portion of the brake pedal there is an extension plate that contains a small plastic grommet that disengages the brake light button under the drivers dash. If your brake lights stay on when the battery is hooked up, keys out of the ignition, this grommet is missing or damaged.
You can place a screw into this grommet hole to get you to a local automotive store for a replacement one.
Dead cell in the battery or the ignition or lights were left on.
If none of your lights work it sounds like a bad battery cable connection or a dead battery
You have a flat battery.
check and clean the battery terminals
Starter, battery, battery connections, neutral switch,
mainly leaving your lights on when the engine is of or leaving the keys in the ignition
Depends if you have the ignition running or just the say you left the lights on. If you just left the ignition on all night nothing will happen except just running out of fuel. If you left your lights on without ignition running your battery will die.
The battery is dead, or the battery terminals are loose.
Seized engine? Weak battery? Corroded or loose battery cables? Bad starter or starter solenoid? Bad neutral or clutch safety switch? Bad ignition switch?
First check for a corroded or damaged battery terminal. Next check the battery.
Battery? Ignition switch?
If the battery is good and the starter is good, then you must have a wire disconnected somewhere.
