You need to replace the Distributor cap and rotor. Be sure that the coil wire is not WHITE or RUSTED on the ends were they go in the cap and coil, If they are then replace the COIL and the plug wires too. Just be sure that you use Factory Parts not after market.

I had a similar problem turns out the Alternator was bad.
Dead battery. Recharge it and see if it will start. If not, remove the battery and go have it tested.
Check the Chevy S10s crankshaft position sensor. The sensor is located low on the engine, and the snow could have gotten the connection damp. The engine will not start when the sensor does not operate.
You are missing fuel or spark.
I was told it could be bad fuel pump.
if it is cranking but wont start check for spark, fuel, air and compression.
NO. In the late month of 1999 chevy completely REDESIGNED EVERYTHING on the chevy trucks and nothing over the year of late 1999 will interchange with anything under the year of 1999. It wont fit.

does it start without the choke? if it does you are probably flooding the engine with the choke readjust it
